Electronics Engineer
Curious to work hands on with advanced electronics and make a real impact?
About us
CPAC Systems develops advanced control systems for marine and industrial applications. Since 1999, we have been turning complex operations into intuitive experiences. With 250 employees, a portfolio of 80 patents and more than 500,000 delivered products per year, we drive innovation in everything from electrification to intelligent automation. We work at the intersection of safety, efficiency and user experience. As part of Volvo Group, our role is to lead advanced technology development and explore the next generation of smart control systems.
Your role
At CPAC Systems, we design electronics that must perform reliably in tough, real world environments such as vehicles, heavy machinery and marine applications. In this role, you will work close to the core of our products, taking responsibility for PCB layout decisions that directly impact performance, EMC robustness and overall product quality.
We believe innovation thrives when strong technical competence meets diverse perspectives. Whether you are an experienced PCB layout engineer or an electronics engineer with a clear layout focus, you will have the opportunity to influence both designs and ways of working.
You will take a leading role in PCB layout strategy and execution for complex, multilayer, impedance controlled boards.
You will contribute to and apply design guidelines for signal integrity, power integrity, stackups, return paths, decoupling and EMC robust routing.
You will participate in and drive schematic and layout reviews using Cadence OrCAD and Allegro.
You will work with high speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe or multi Gbps links and, depending on project needs, RF or microwave designs.
You will collaborate closely with electronics, mechanics, systems, test and verification teams.
You will actively contribute in lab work, bring up, troubleshooting and continuous design improvements.
Qualifications
You have more than five years of experience in electronics development with a strong focus on PCB layout.
You have hands on experience with Cadence OrCAD or Allegro, working with schematic and or layout.
You have delivered complex PCB designs used in real products.
You have a solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity and EMC aware design practices including grounding, reference planning, routing and filtering.
You are comfortable working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNA or TDR, or in close collaboration with lab specialists.
You are fluent in English, and Swedish is considered a plus.
Nice to have
Experience with electronics designed for harsh environments such as automotive, off highway or marine.
Experience with high speed interfaces or RF designs.
Exposure to EM or SI simulation tools such as HFSS, Siwave or LTspice.
Familiarity with DFM, DFT and collaboration with contract manufacturers.
Why us
We have a practical and collaborative engineering culture with access to a well equipped electronics lab.
We work cross functionally, with close cooperation between design, test and verification.
We apply a hybrid setup with regular on site presence to enable efficient reviews, bring up and lab work.
Work on exciting projects and drive them end to end.
Thrive in a flat organization with short decision-making paths.
Join a team with deep technical expertise and a culture that values initiative and collaboration
Enjoy a fun and supportive team oriented environment.
