About us
CPAC Systems develops advanced control systems for marine and industrial applications. Since 1999, we’ve been turning complex operations into intuitive experiences. With 250 employees, a portfolio of 50 patents and more than 500,000 delivered products per year, we drive innovation in everything from electrification to intelligent automation, always working at the intersection of safety, efficiency and user experience. As part of Volvo Group, our role is to lead advanced technology development and explore the next generation of smart control systems.
Your role
As a System Engineer, you will play an important role in defining and integrating complex infotainment systems. You’ll work where hardware, the Android platform and customer requirements meet, making sure everything fits together into a reliable, well-performing system.
You will define system architecture and technical requirements, coordinate integration across hardware and software, and support teams with system-level knowledge throughout the development process. You’ll work closely with developers, testers and customers to ensure high-quality, user-friendly solutions for marine and industrial applications.
This is a hands-on role where you will influence design, drive integration and turn technical requirements into production-ready systems.
Responsibilities
- Define system architecture and technical requirements for infotainment ECUs and integrated systems based on customer and supplier needs
- Coordinate integration between hardware, the Android platform and middleware components
- Analyze and solve system-level issues across hardware and software
- Work closely with developers, testers and customers to secure high-quality, user-focused solutions
- Maintain system documentation and interface specifications
Key qualifications
- Strong system thinking and the ability to understand complex technical setups
- Good understanding of infotainment systems and ECU architecture
- Experience with system-level design and integration in embedded environments
- Familiarity with Android/AOSP and Linux-based systems
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN and GMSL
- Ability to read logs, debug system-level issues and suggest solutions
- Fluent in English
Who you are
You see complex systems as full of possibilities and enjoy working hands-on to understand how each part connects. You stay current in your field and willingly share your knowledge with others. You appreciate having responsibility from start to finish and are comfortable challenging assumptions to find smarter and more efficient solutions. With a solid understanding of both hardware and software, and how they interact, you bring clarity, solve problems and help turn ideas into reliable real-world systems.
